Privacy & data handling

I run SAI School Of Motoring ("I", "me"), and I collect a small amount of personal data through this website. This page explains what, why, and the rights you have over it.

Who I am

SAI School Of Motoring is a sole trader business. For data protection purposes, I'm the "controller" of the data described here — see "Contact me" below to get in touch.

What I collect

Contact form: your name, phone number, and message.

Review form: your name, star rating, and written comment.

I don't collect payment details, date of birth, or any other sensitive data through this site.

Why I collect it

Contact messages are used to respond to your enquiry and arrange lessons — necessary to take steps you've requested before entering into an agreement.

Reviews are published, with your consent, to show genuine pupil feedback. Every review is checked before it appears, so there may be a short delay.

Reviews are public

If approved, your name, rating, and comment are shown publicly on this site. Don't include contact details in your review — you can ask me to remove a published review at any time using the details below.

Who I share it with

I never sell your data or share it for marketing. Only I can see it, through a password-protected admin area.

Three technology providers process data on my behalf, under contract, to run this site:

• Vercel — hosting
• Neon — the database that stores form submissions
• Vercel Blob — image storage (doesn't hold your form submissions)

These providers may process data outside the UK, including in the US, under standard safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum).

How long I keep it

Contact messages are kept until your enquiry is handled, then deleted. Reviews are kept while published, or until you ask me to remove yours.

Cookies and local storage

This site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage — it never reaches me. The admin area uses a strictly necessary session cookie for my use only. No analytics or advertising cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

• send you a copy of the data I hold about you
• correct inaccurate data
• delete your data
• restrict how I use it while a dispute is resolved
• stop processing it, including where I rely on consent or legitimate interest
• provide it in a portable format, where feasible
• respect a withdrawal of consent at any time — for example, removing a published review

Automated decision-making

I don't use automated decision-making or profiling — every message and review is handled by me personally.
